Fresh Prints final day

My two final projects in the Fresh prints series. The first a tag topper box with Baked Brown Sugar ruffled ribbon. The second a small bag, clasped together with hidden magnets. I made the bag using this picture, I didn't realise there was a  template until I came to do the link for this post, so I have made mine slightly bigger.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing my projects as much as I enjoyed making them.

A scrapbook page, not posted one of these for a while.

I thought I would give you a little break from the Fresh Prints and insert a scrapbook page, I have been neglecting this area of my crafting for some time. So much to catch up on!!

This is my first foray in to the world of washi tape and despite my reservations about the product, I am happy with the results. I have had the tape for ages but wasn't really sure how to use it. I am not one for using it with torn edges or for sticking things on with it. I have seen others use it to great effect this way but it just wasn't for me. I covered some card with the tape and used it to cut shapes from, (hearts in this case) to make the banner. The triple layer heart tucked in to the "Selfie" pocket at the bottom of the page has journalling on the back.

Fresh prints day 6

Another bag made with the We R Memory Keepers bag maker. What did I do before these things were on the market? Well, actually, the same as I am doing now, it just took a little longer.
Here is a card I made for my Sister in laws birthday. I am really loving the Simple Stems and Hardwood stamps.

Fresh Prints day 5

Today's offerings. Love that Real Red wavy design! I created a simple box and then  added the tag topper punch as the flap fastener. I really like the red button to close the flap, a bit fiddly to keep closing it if you were using it to store something in rather than as a gift box.

Another box using the We R Memory Keepers box maker.

Fresh Prints day 4

Whilst not technically a Fresh Print, it is within the same colour combination - Coastal Cabana. I have seen this technique all over the net and wanted to give it a try. I used the Little Leaves Sizzlet.

Another gift bag, this time using the Hexagon Hive and Starburst thinlet dies, Simple Stems (layered) and Memorable moments stamp sets.

Fresh Prints day 3

This project was made using the We R Memory Keepers box maker.
The colour for the main box and the dotty DSP is Coastal Cabana, with Fresh Prints DSP as the accent square. All topped of with the Starburst Framelit die, flowers from my stash and some leaves from the Stippled Blossoms stamps set.
All card stock and DSP from Stampin' Up!
The finished box size is 4" x 4".

Fresh Prints DSP Stack day 2

This card is in a clean and simple style with plenty of white space which I love. Just a small strip of DSP layered on white and again on Real Red card stock that has been cut using the Finishing Touches Edgelits. The sentiment is an old one but useful for all sorts of occasions. Just above which I have adhered one of the blooms from the Simple Stems stamp set. I stamped it first on white card and then cut it out, then I stamped it again and just cut out the centre petals. These where then layered on the first image using raised sticky squares. I am really pleased with how it turned out, sometimes I start of with the idea of lots of white space and then get carried away and fill it up .

Here is a close up of the layered bloom.

A useful bag, as all of my daughter's friends are turning 18 this year. I added the Baked Brown Sugar ruffled ribbon to my banner die cut for some extra interest. Then I simply topped it off a sentiment from the Memorable Moments stamp set.

All items used are from Stampin' Up! With the exception of the scalloped oval die, which is from Spellbinders.

Easter Bunnies

I always make a treat box of some description for my crafting buddies to hold their Easter goodies and this year was no exception. I saw them last night when we went out for dinner and as I knew I probably wouldn't see them again before Easter, I gave them their gifts, so it is safe for me to show them on the blog without spoiling the surprise.
I used the We R Memory Keepers bag maker for the basic package, but I cut the front of the bag separately so that I could run it through my swirly embossing folder to simulate the fur. Doing the front this way also made it easy to add the arms (to carry the basket) by tucking them around the front portion before the bag was stuck together, ensuring they remained firm. I then added die cut oval ears and feet (or paws, whichever you prefer). I made a flap for the front so that I could add a face. The flap is held down by small magnets. I punched out another oval for the mouth and a cute little heart for the nose and then added some large teeth and whiskers. Next, I added a bow tie and a basket of eggs. I punched out the basket shape and then ran it through my basket weave embossing folder. The final touch was to add the eggs. I found some small chip board egg shapes at the scrap store and I intended to paint and decorate them. However, I happened upon some little stickers in the local $2 store and they fitted the chip board shapes exactly.
The packages are filled with Easter treats from Lindt. Yummy!

There is so much inspiration for these bunny bags over the internet that it is hard to pin down just one source of for my bags, however the idea for the arms and the whiskers came from a new die by Paper Trey Ink.

Bow Tie: Beautiful bows - MFT
Basket Punch: Punch Bunch
Basket Weave Embossing folder: Stampin Up
Swirly Embossing Folder: Cuttlebug

Fresh Prints Designer Series paper stack

I have been having a lot of fun using this paper stack and have made a number of cards and packaging items using it. I just love the colour combination. I am going to show you them all over the next few days (or weeks, depending on how good I am at posting)

The first one is a plain Kraft bag I bought in Kmart, but it could easily be made on the We R Memory Keepers bag maker. I used a whole sheet to decorate the front and then made a flap using the Window Frames collection framelits, layering up Real Red card stock with the DSP. I used the Starburst sayings stamp set and Starburst Framelits for the decoration on the flap. For the tag, I used the scallop tag topper punch to cut a tag in Real Red card stock, then using a piece of DSP slightly smaller that the width of the punch I cut another tag and layered them on top of one another, to coordinate with the flap. Next, I stamped a sentiment from the set - See Ya Later. It is sadly no longer available, as it was in the now retired sale-a-bration catalogue. The sentiment was die cut using one of the framelits from the Apothecary Accents set. To finish it off, I stamped images from the Stippled Blossoms stamp set and adhered them to the label.

For my second item today, my inspiration came from Judy May, see this post. One of the parcels Judy made was for me and I was so taken with the design I made this card.

Everything used to make these projects is from Stampin' Up!
